Esther Torvik, 87, Monticello, MN formerly of Minot, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Esther was born on September 16, 1929 to William and Magdalena Sutter on the farm by Sawyer, ND.

She was united in marriage to Mervin (Bud) Torvik November 22, 1949. They lived in Minot until March 2005 when they moved to Monticello, MN to be near family.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (John) Smolenski in Big Lake, MN and son, Brian (Iris) Torvik in Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Lori (Travis) MacDonald in St Michael, MN, Mike Smolenski in Plymouth, MN, Kara (Jeremiah) Smith in Idaho Falls, ID and Joshua Torvik in Bedford, TX; great grandchildren, Kingston & Piper Torvik, Leila & Knox Smith as well as many nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and seven brothers.
