Eric Sherven, 25, Buckeye, AZ formerly of Minot, died May 22, 2014, in Buckeye.

Eric was born November 24, 1988, in Minot, ND to Linda (Brandvold) Johnson and Wes Sherven. He started kindergarten in 1994 at Ryder Elementary School and finished his education in Makoti, ND as a graduate of North Shore High School in 2007.

Following high school, Eric moved to Minot and attended a year of college at Minot State University. He held various employment positions prior to moving to Arizona in 2012. He was currently employed as a technician for Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. He also served as a volunteer at a local forestry in Buckeye, AZ.

While in Arizona, he met the love of his life, Kristin. They enjoyed exploring the sites of Arizona. Eric loved to hike, explore nature and was a lover of animals. His dogs Dharma and Little Foot were both members of the family. He spent time reading, enjoyed music and was often found playing his guitar. Baseball was his favorite sport and he was a faithful follower of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Eric always made time to talk on the phone with his sister, Megan. He always pushed her to follow her own path in life and all the activities it included.

He will be missed by all who shared in his life.

His loving family includes, his parents, Linda (Randy) Johnson, Minot and Wesley (Joan Stafslien) Sherven, Ryder, ND; girlfriend, Kristin Maxwell, Buckeye, AZ; brothers, Jared (Ali) Sherven of Surrey and Trent (LyNelle) Sherven, Ryder, ND; sister, Megan Sherven, Minot; nephew, Isaac Sherven; nieces, Ella and Alivia Sherven and Quinn Sherven; grandparents, John and Shirley Brandvold, Ryder, ND and Colleen Sherven, Minot, ND and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ordean Sherven.

Celebration of Life Service : 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND

F amily Service : 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
