Eric Michael Schieve, 30, Minot died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in a Minot hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident in Minot.
Eric was born on May 6, 1978 in Minot to Dale and Cyndi (Whitted) Schieve. He was raised in Minot and until 1988 when he moved with his mother and stepfather to Modesto, CA. He graduated from Beyer High School in Modesto. As a young adult he was employed at Fastenal Co. Modest, repairing electric and air tools until he returned to Minot in 1999. Eric was once married to Alicia Alg and together they had one son Phillip Michael. While residing in Minot he was employed at Mackley Construction, and by a Bismarck telemarketing firm.
Eric enjoyed soccer and skateboarding in his younger years and computers.
Survivors include: Son: Phillip Michael Eric Grabow of Oakdale, CA; Mother and Stepfather: Cyndi and David Grabow of Oakdale; Father and Stepmother: Dale and Sandy Schieve of Surrey; Maternal Grandparents: Glenn and Mary Kay Whitted of Minot; Paternal Grandmother: Shirley Schieve of Minot; Brother: Chad (Amanda) Schieve of Oakdale, and their children, Ashtyn and Garrett; Half Sisters and Half Brothers: Kathy Grabow of Modesto, Jennifer (Jason) Jenssen of Devils Lake and their daughter, Cadence, Kendall (Carrie) Schieve of Rugby as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ervin Schieve, uncle Doug Schieve and step-grandparents: Wayne and Lillian Grabow.

: Monday at 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel;
Mass of Christian Burial
- Tuesday October 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church - Minot;
Graveside Service
: Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Sawyer Community Cemetery - rural Sawyer;
