Eric M. Reeve , 89, 1630 Elmwood Drive, Minot, and former longtime Minot Police Officer, died Monday, March 5, 2007 in a Minot Nursing Home.
Eric was born July 9, 1917 at Worchester, Massachusetts, the son of Howard T and Violet Reeve. He was raised at Millburn, New Jersey. He graduated from the Admiral Farragut Academy and attended the Westminster Choir College to study music. He entered into active duty service with the US Army and served in the European Theatre of World War II and was honorably discharged.
He met Cynthia Repole during his military service in Washington D.C. and they were united in marriage after the war.
Eric completed his college eduation when he received a degree in teaching from the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks. He taught for two years at Coleharbor and Alexandria, ND and then joined the Minot Police Department in 1951. He was employed in that capacity until retiring in 1977 as a Lieutenant. He worked for ten years as a security guard for R&R Security. Cynthia died in 1978.
Eric's hobbies included Steam Locomotives, Tennis and Organ Music. He was an authority on Theater Pipe Organs and had traded tapes and records of organ music with friends around the world.
He was a charter member of the American Theater Organ Society and enjoyed playing the pipe organ and piano throughout the years.
His loving family includes : Son: Howard Reeve, Minot; Granddaughter: Erica Jo Reeve, Minot; Special friend: Paul Sonnenberg of Minot.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Cynthia.

: Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Minot
Interment
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation:
Wednesday from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot
Memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Humane Society or First Presbyterian Church Organ Fund.
