Obituary

Elsie Augusta Lozensky, 93, Minot, formerly of the Burlington area, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home.

Elsie was born February 17, 1918 at Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Rudolph and Louise (Eikmeier)Hoelscher. She was raised on the family farm Northeast of Burlington and attended schools in that area. Following graduation from high school, she attended an Art School in Minneapolis.

Elsie was united in marriage to Pete Lozensky on August 12, 1945 at Minot. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where they raised their four sons. Elsie also did upholstery work for individuals out of her residence. In addition, she enjoyed making numerous works of art and had even sold some of these works throughout the years. Pete died December 1, 2010.

Elsie was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot, where she was active with the LWML. She was also a member of the Minot Area Council for the Arts, enjoyed doing crafts and often did canning of the garden vegetables that her husband had raised during the summer months.

Elsie's loving family includes , children, Jerry Lozensky, Minot, Vance (Marian) Lozensky, Max, Russell (Ruth Ann) St. Paul, MN, and David Lozensky, Minot; grandchildren, Phillip, Alex, Benjamin, Melissa, Sean, LeAlan, Sarita and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Chase, Brooke, Dalton, Sadie, Tess, Sara, Sebastian and Shyann.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Pete, and sisters, Viola, Edna and Annie.

Funeral service : Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Gasman Township Cemetery, rural Max, ND
Visitation : Thursday, May 19th from 2:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
