Elsa Alma Montes, 57, Minot and Baldwin Park, CA died Monday, April 7, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

Elsa was united in holy marriage to Armando Montes in 1973. They made their home in the Los Angeles area for the past 41 years and were blessed with six children in their home. Elsa excelled in her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Elsa loved unconditionally and was always patient and kind. She lived her entire life with faith and grace, leaving a legacy of family behind. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.

Her family includes loving husband of 41 years, Armando, Baldwin Park, CA; children, Emily (Jack) Gustamantes, Minot, ND, Naidene Montes, Amanda Montes, Joey Montes and Tomas Montes, all of Baldwin Park, CA and Cynthia Garcia, Roswell, NM; grandchildren, Samantha Magot, Reuben Montes, Dakota Montes, Maya Escalante, Isaiah Escalante, Dannie Mendoza, Nina Gallardo, Frankie Gallardo, Rudy Rodriguez, Emmy Gustamantes, Joaquin Gustamantes III and Dominic Osario; great-grandson, Matthew Montes; sisters: Edna Hernandez and Eva Martinez, brother, Ever Martinez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elsa was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerardo Martinez.
No local services will be held.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. in Praise Chapel, Baldwin Park, CA.
