The graveside service for Ella Greenup Larson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Wildrose Cemetery in Berthold. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be hosted by the Berthold Baptist Church following our time at the cemetery.

Ella Greenup Larson , 71, Berthold, died Thursday, November 23, 2023 in a Minot hospital.

Ella was born September 15, 1952, in Minot, ND to Wilbur and Doris (Deaver) Greenup. She was raised and educated in Berthold, graduating from Berthold High School in 1971.

Ella was united in marriage to Armor Larson on August 28, 1976 in Berthold.  They made their home in Arnegard following their marriage for the next twenty years. Armor died on January 2, 1996 and she moved to Berthold in the Spring of 1996.

Ella worked as a caregiver for many years. She served as an office manager for Computer Hobbies in Berthold from 2004 until she retired in 2009.

Ella was a member of the Berthold Baptist Church and served in the music ministry of the church as a piano player for 18 years. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Sidney, MT. She was a member of the Berthold Senior Citizens and was active in the mission circles in Arnegard and Berthold. Ella served a term on the Arnegard City Council, was a manager at Camp Bentley for two years and served for a time as the secretary for the Ward County Senior Citizens and Berthold Senior Citizens Clubs.

In her spare time, Ella enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, knitting and some woodworking. She treasured time with family and friends, often enjoying a game of cards. Ella will be remembered for caring for those in need, her love of music, and creativity.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs in the ICU of Trinity Hospital in Minot and Berthold Community Ambulance for their special care of our sister.

Ella is survived by her brothers Monte (Deborah) Greenup, Dickinson, ND and Michael (Rosalie) Greenup, Berthold; nieces and nephews include Jason (Kassidy) Skjervem, Minot and Kayla (Ryan) Schwartz, Mandan, ND; great nieces and nephews include Hudson, Asher, Owen, Everett and Hallie Skjervem and Micah, Jillian and Zander Schwartz; aunts and uncles include Mildred Haugen, Williston, ND, Allie Deaver, Berthold, ND, and Judy Deaver, Minot along with numerous cousins.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband Armor, her parents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring of 2024 at Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND
Memorials are preferred to Camp Bentley or ABW of the Berthold Baptist Church.
