Elizabeth Rose "Babe" Moffitt, 94, Minot, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at Trinity Nursing Home.

Elizabeth was born December 7, 1924 on the family farm near Ruthville in Ward County, North Dakota. Babe, as known by family and friends, was the daughter of George and Rose Dendinger.

Babe was united in marriage to Wilbur Moffitt on October 14, 1946.  They spent their first winter together in Pasadena, California and attended the Rose Bowl Parade. Later,

they made their home on a farm near Norwich, where they raised their two children, Rory and Cindy.   They retired from farming in 1988.   Wilbur died December 21, 2002.

Babe was an avid reader, poet, did crosswords. loved a game of canasta and made fabulous cinnamon rolls.   She loved her 4-legged friends and had many cats, dogs and horses over the years.

Although travel was not her first choice, she went on many family vacations to the Seattle World's Fair, Montreal World's Fair, Europe, Grand Canyon, Florida, Hawaii, Disneyland, Banff and Canadian fishing trips (She loved Walleye and pike rolled in flour and fried in butter-Yum!) Many trips were made to Washington to celebrate Christmas with the grandkids.

Her sense of humor and sweetness will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Tobosa-Adams (Vern Adams) of Tacoma, WA and her grandchildren, Kathryn (Ashley), Alex, Ryann Lane (Tim); along with a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Wilbur; son, Rory, siblings, Joe Dendinger (Alice); Art Dendinger (Evelyn), Ernie Dendinger, Margaret Korgel (Albert) , Helen Werner (Elmer).

A big thank you to the staff of Trinity Lutheran Home, where she had resided since 2016.

Funeral service: Saturday, January 19 ^th at 10:30 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment : Prior to the service in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation : Family and friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the start of the service.   There will not be any viewing, as the burial has already taken place.
