Obituary

Eldon Leonard Parizek, 78, Deering, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his residence.

Eldon was born June 4, 1936 at Minot, North Dakota the son of John and Thelma (Kolvich) Parizek. He was raised and educated at Deering. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army from 1958 - 1961.

During his younger years, Eldon was employed as a salesman selling magazines in the Minot area. He was employed for more than 30 years in Civil Service at the Minot Air Force Base in Pest Control Management.

Eldon was a member of the Deering Lutheran Church. He was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church on February 7, 2014 by Pastor Gerald Roise. His hobbies and interests included hanging out with friends at Arny's Lounge and the Deering Bar, along with trips to the Casino at Belcourt. He also enjoyed collecting cookbooks and sharing recipes. Eldon was well liked by all who knew him. He always had a kind word for everyone, was full of jokes and the life of the party.

Eldon's family includes his sister Betty Mae Parizek Walker of California and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service: Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Veterans Section of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation : Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
