Edward Joseph Weigel, 82, rural Minot died on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in his home.

Edward was born on November 4, 1933 in Orrin, ND to Joseph and Mary (Keller) Weigel.
Ed married Arlene Abelstad on May 4, 1958 in Minot. They made their home near Minot.

Ed's family includes his wife of 57 years Arlene; children: Ken (Teresa) Weigel of Minot, Julie (Les) Taylor of Watford City and Amy (Steven) Hopkins of Minot, thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren; siblings: Otella "Tillie" (John) Feist of Minot, James (Sandra) Weigel of Beulah; brother-in-law: Rodger Johnson of Valley City and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Diane Walton, sister: Mary Johnson and great grandson: Isaac Green.

Celebration of the Life of Edward Weigel: Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Saron Lutheran Church - rural Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot. There will be no reviewal at the church prior to the service.
