Edward J. Farrell, 79, Minot, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 in his home.

Edward was born July 10, 1940 in Patterson, NJ to Edward Sr. and Anna (McFarland) Farrell. He spent the first half of his life in New Jersey and made a living in the meat cutting industry during his life.

Following a family visit to North Dakota he made Minot his home in his early 40's. Edward spent a few years in Westhope, ND until returning to the Magic City. He worked at Field and Stream, Porter Brothers, Country Meats and owned and operated Eddy's Custom Processing located by Behm's Truckstop (now Flying J) for a time. Ed made friends with just about everyone he met.

Edward was a man of nature; an outdoorsman who loved animals…..maybe even more than people. He loved to hunt, fish and even spent time doing some trapping. Edward taught hunter's safety classes and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants for the Future.

He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.

Edward is survived by his children Jayme (Habeeb) Rafiu, Stacey Farrell and Keith Zonneville and grandchildren Ava, Isaiah and Tyonna.

At Edward's request no formal services will be held.
