Edna Rose Redding, 93, longtime Sawyer resident, entered her heavenly home on Monday, September 10, 2012. A woman who loved her Savior, Edna was a tireless prayer warrior, many times praying into the early morning hours.

Edna was born on July 22, 1919 to Christ and Lydia Bauman. A brother, Richard, joined the family two years later. Born and reared in the Sawyer area, Edna spent most of her years there except for two years in Sausalito, California, where her husband, Wayne, worked in the shipyards.

Edna was a longtime member of the Sawyer Church of the Nazarene and she especially enjoyed gardening, singing and playing the piano and organ.

Her most loved and fulfilling duties were being a devoted wife to Wayne, whom she married April 6, 1939 in a Minot lutheran church parsonage. She loved being a mother to Carol (husband Merv), Wayne Jr. " Budd " , Dennis (wife Carol), Roger (wife Linda), Sheryl (husband Lyle) and Richard (wife Lory). A son, Daryl, was killed in a work related accident in 1983. Edna will always be remembered for her enormous giving heart of putting others before herself.
