Edna Bertha (Becker) Hoffmeyer, 90, Minot, died Friday, November 18, 2016, following a long illness.

Edna was born February 6, 1926, in Devils Lake, ND, to Herman and Lucy (Bachman) Becker. She was raised and educated in Crary, ND.

Edna was united in marriage to Allen Orville Hoffmeyer July 5, 1944. Throughout their years together, they made their home in North Dakota, Montana, and North Carolina. Edna worked for many years as a nurse's aide, and became a resident of Trinity Homes in January 2013. Allen passed away on January 29, 2001.

Edna enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Carolina basketball, all of which paled in comparison to the joy she found in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her children, Marlene Feigitsch, Surrey, ND, Diane (Russ) Snyder, Clayton, NC, Ronald (Patricia) Hoffmeyer, Henderson, NC, and Debbie (Phillip) Cloud, Fuquay-Varina, NC; grandchildren, Terry Feigitsch, Surrey, ND, Vicki Heilman, Mapleton, ND, Shanon Feigitsch, Surrey, ND, Shelly Lee, Surrey, ND, Julee Snyder, Raleigh, NC, Cheryl Snyder- Bomar, Morehead City, NC, Michael Hoffmeyer, Bartlett, TN, Jason Cloud, Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Jeffrey Cloud, Wilmington, NC; 15 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen, daughter, Janet Rae Hoffmeyer, brothers, Wilbur and Marland Becker, sister, Eleanor McCaffery, and son-in-law, Jacob Feigitsch.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Trinity Homes Chapel in Minot.
Interment: Devils Lake Cemetery, Devils Lake, ND (later in the spring of 2017)
Booksigning: Family and friends are invited to sign the memorial register book one hour prior to the start of the service in the chapel at the nursing home.
