Obituary

Edna C. Fredrick, 87, Minot, died Saturday, January 2, 2016, in a Minot hospital.

Edna was born September 12, 1928, in Ryder, ND to Edwin and Christma (Larson) Arneson. She grew up in Ryder and graduated with the Ryder High School Class of 1946. As a young adult, she moved to Minot and was employed at Montgomery Ward and Minot Supply.

Edna was united in marriage to Clifford Fredrick July 23, 1950, in Ryder, ND. They made their home in Minot, where they raised four children. Edna was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital as an office clerk retiring in 1990. After her retirement, she spent much time traveling with Cliff in their RV. They visited almost all of the 50 United States. They also had the opportunity to travel in Europe during Cliff's career. This allowed her to visit Norway and explore her heritage.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Edna enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.

Edna's loving family includes her loving husband of 65 years, Clifford, Minot; children, Daniel Fredrick, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brenda Peterson, Minot, Julie (Dick) Pross, Fargo, ND and Mark Fredrick, Northfield, MN; grandchildren, Aimee (Ron) Wesely, Tiffany (Jeff) Erdall, Sasha (Tom) Courtade, Alicia (Steve) Pross, Travis Fredrick, Jena Fredrick; great-grandchildren, Madison Wesely, Reily Wesely, Gabriell Walter, Benjamin Erdall, Hallie Erdall and James Reese; sister, Ruth Wurtz, Ryder, ND; brother, David (Debbie) Janz, Dickinson, ND; brother-in-law, Rudy Evansvold, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Erwin Janz, sister, Myrle Evansvold and an infant sister Evelyn.

Celebration of Life Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, officiated by Desire Uhrich
Visitation: Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers and plants.
