Earl F. Brown , 79, Minot, formerly of Berthold, died Monday, January 14, 2008, in a Fargo hospital.

Earl was born August 5, 1928, in Berthold, ND, the son of Earl and Mabel (Tegmeier) Brown. He was raised and educated in Berthold, and graduated from Berthold High School. Earl was actively involved in the operation of the family farm, north of Berthold all of his life. Earl served his country in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Montana in 2003, but returned to Minot in 2007.

Earl enjoyed his dog Sage and all animals, reading Louis L'Amour books, and loved farming and raising cattle. He was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving family includes: Daughter: Jessi (Carl) Dunkerson, Ronan, MT; Grandchildren: Kaydynce and Tristen Dunkerson; Siblings: Vivian (Kenneth) Keyes, Minot, Harold (Linda) Brown, Minot, Howard (Rose) Brown, Minot, Marian (Morris) Eshenko, Minot; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Willard and Gerald Brown.

Funeral: A private funeral service will be held.
Interment: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND.
Visitation: Saturday, January 19, 2008, from 9:00 a.m., until 1:00 p.m., in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred.
