Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Dustin Vaughn Strenke. Born June 7, 1981 to June 9, 2026. Dustin grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and moved to Minot, N.D. in his adult years to work.

Dustin was a kind soul with a strong bond with his mother Connie. He was very outgoing and made friends easily.

When he was younger, he played hockey - earning several hat tricks and enjoying hockey camp. He was also fascinated with space and the solar system. He attended space camp in Florida.

Dustin was such a genuine friend. He had a friend that was deaf and he taught himself sign language so that he could communicate with him more easily. He was a talented musician and often performed with his friends when they were in town at the Rocking Horse. Dustin enjoyed collecting unique items and spending time with friends and family. However, he got most of his enjoyment out of life from spending time with his children.

Dustin was a unique kind soul who will truly be missed by all.

He is survived by his mother Connie Wheeler (Curby) of Minot, his grandmother Lavonne Strenke (George) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, his daughter Issabella Strenke and his son Jaxson Strenke both of Minot, Cheyanne Strenke mother of Jaxson Strenke and his uncle Rick Strenke (Jolene) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his father Glen Dale Sanders of Oklahoma, his grandfather Leroy Strenke of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, his great grandparents Frank and Delores Strenke, his great aunt Nancy Wendt and cousin Hope Lee Strenke.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
