Douglas "Doug" M. Voeller, 59, Minot, died peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Doug was born April 22, 1950 in Minot, the son of Fred and Kaye (Cuff) Voeller. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Bishop Ryan High School and in 1972 graduated from St. Thomas University in St Paul, MN, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity.
Doug was united in marriage to Theresa "Terry" L. Brill on June 30, 1973 in Fort Worth, TX. They made their home in Minot where they raised their three children. Doug was employed with Coldwell Banker - First Minot Realty and Management, where he diligently served as Operations Manager for the past 10 years. He was previously employed at the Minot Daily News and Office Machines and Furniture, and owned Voeller's Carpet and Design/Voeller's Furniture.
Doug was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the National Association of Realtors, ND Association of Realtors, and National Association of Builders, where he served as a past President of the Minot AHB, and was a local and state Associate of the Year (1984). He was proud to be a record-holding Spike Club Member. Doug served as a President and board member of the local United Way chapter and was recognized for his community service efforts. For several years, Doug served as a security volunteer at the Norsk Hostfest. Doug was honored to serve as an usher at Sunday mass at Our Lady of Grace church. He was an avid player in the Minot Pocket Billiards League and was active with the local and national ALS advocacy chapters. Last but not least, he was the founder and sole member of the World's Greatest Dad's Club.
Doug's joys in life included: time at the lake with family, maintaining his custom landscape around his home, and nurturing his love of music through his extensive collection of rock-and-roll records and Wurlitzer JukeBox.
Doug's loving family includes, wife of thirty-six years, Terry; Children, Elizabeth Voeller, Alexandria, VA; Matthew Voeller and wife, Janelle, Grand Forks, ND; Karmen Voeller-Snell and husband, Ryan Snell, Delano, MN; Grandson, Abram Voeller (Matt and Janelle); Parents, Fred and Kaye Voeller of San Antonio, TX; Sisters, Vicki Mading, Billings, MT and Jane Mayer, Minot; Brothers, Dr. Paul Voeller, Astoria, OR; Jim Voeller, San Antonio, TX; and Karl Voeller, New York, NY; 29 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his infant siblings, brother Christopher and sister Mary.

: Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil Prayer service
: Friday, March 26, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
