Dorothy Ellen Helseth was born on February 9, 1942 to Andrew and Mildred (Silver) Warner. She was raised and educated in Washington, Missouri.

Dorothy moved to New Town, ND in early adulthood. She met Raymond Sr. at the restaurant where she worked with her mom, Mildred. They were united in marriage on November 13, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Keene, ND until 1962 when they moved to Minot. Raymond Sr. passed away October 27, 2017.

Dorothy was a devoted mother and homemaker, known for her straightforwardness and feisty personality. She found joy in cooking, old country music, and engaging in dice and card games. Dorothy was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Minot along with the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club.

Her loving family includes, Ray (Diane) Helseth of Burlington, ND; Rodney Helseth of SD; Sue (Mike) Ell of Underwood, ND; Darrell (Amber) Helseth of Tioga, ND; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Raymond Sr.; Son: Russell; sister: Wanda; brothers: Delmar and Bud.

Dorothy E. Helseth , 83, Minot, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in a Minot hospital.
Celebration of Life Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel, Minot
Visitation: Tuesday, one hour prior to the start of the service in the funeral home.
