Obituary

Dorothy K. Dolan, 95, Minot, founding member of the Minot Area Community Foundation, died Friday, December 28, 2007, in a Minot hospital.

Dorothy Paschke was born in Ekalaka, MT, to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Paschke. She was raised and educated in Fairview and Sidney, Montana.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Francis Thomas "Mike" Dolan on February 6, 1932, in North Dakota. In 1941, they moved to Minot, where they established Schultz - Dolan Concrete Plant, later renamed Monarch Concrete Products in 1950. In addition, they owned and operated Monarch Oil Field Supply Company, developed Eastside Estates near Minot, and were early investors and active participants in the formation of First Western Bank, Investors Real Estate Trust, and the Minot Area Community Foundation.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life and will always be remembered for her contributions to the community of Minot.

Surviving family includes : Daughter: Patricia West, Spokane, WA and Ten Grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, daughters, Yvonne Brazill and Diane Wagner, and son, Doug Dolan.

A Private Interment Service will be held at a later date. (Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot)
