Doris Marie Steinke , 90, Minot, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

Doris was born January 5, 1924 in Logan, North Dakota the daughter of Vivian and Marie (Brislance) Herzog. She was raised and educated at Burlington, ND. Doris was united in marriage to Peter Arthur Hanenberg in 1940. They made their home in Minot. Peter died in 1949.

She continued to live in Minot and was employed as an accountant for Motor Service.

Doris was united in marriage to Pete Steinke in 1965. Pete died in 2009.

Doris took pride in caring for her family. She especially enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles.

Doris is survived by her children: Mary Fennell, St. Cloud, MN, Thomas Hanenberg, Colorado Springs, CO, Joseph Hanenberg, Minot, ND, Peter (Darlene) Hanenberg, Canon City, CO, Susan Hanenberg, Minot, ND, Jon "Jack" (Carol) Steinke, Minot, ND, Corey Steinke, Phoenix, AZ, Greg Steinke, Scottsdale, AZ, and Timothy Steinke, Minot, ND; 17 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; twin brothers: Les (Pat) Herzog and Lee (Ginger) Herzog, both of MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband's, sisters: Kay and Virginia and brother, Bud.

Liturgy of the Word Service : Friday, October 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
