Doris M. Jangula, 82, Minot, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in a Minot hospital.
Doris was born September 12, 1927 in rural Dunn County, North Dakota, the daughter of Louis J. and Emma (Svihl) Kadrmas. She was raised on the family farm near Dickinson and was educated at the Tabor Country School #1. She assisted with the operation of the family farm and when her mother died at a very young age in 1942 when she was just 15 years old, Doris helped raise her five younger siblings.
Doris attended and graduated from beautician's school in Bismarck and moved to Minot in 1950, where she gained employment and later purchased and operated R & M Beauty Salon on Main Street. She was recognized in 2006 at Bismarck, North Dakota for her 50 plus years as the longest working beautician in North Dakota. Doris was once married to Henry "Hank" Jangula and during their married life, they belonged to the "Minot Flyers" and piloted their plane over many areas throughout the State of North Dakota.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member & past president of American Legion Auxiliary in Minot. Doris was a very private person but she enjoyed sharing her time with family and friends at her cabin on Rice Lake near Minot during the summer months. Many hours and days were spent boating and fishing with various members of her extended family which included 42 nieces and nephews. One of Doris's most famous hobbies was shopping and you could find her at many stores in Minot if a sale was going on.
Doris is survived by her brothers, Ray (Georgia) Kadrmas, Dickinson, ND, Gene (Eleanor) Kadrmas, Bismarck, ND, Vern (Rosemary) Kadrmas, Bowman, ND, many nieces and nephews, and her longtime companion, Pete Teselsky.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, step-mothers, Mary (Zastoupil) Kadrmas, and Mary (Wolbaum) Kadrmas, sister, Dorothy Dvorak, and brothers, Dorman, Irvin, and Donald L. Kadrmas. She experienced the loss of her young niece, Geraldine Kadrmas in 1972 and most recently her nephews, Delvern Dvorak and Kevin Kadrmas.

: Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil Prayer service
: Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home.
