Doris Hochsprung, 83, of Minot and formerly of Max died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in a Minot hospital.

Doris Jane was born on January 26, 1937 in Max, ND to Matthew and Stacia (Bovkoon) Semchenko.  She was raised on a farm in the Max area, graduated from Max High School in 1955 and continued her education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.  As a young adult she was employed at First National Bank in Minot.

Doris married A.J. Hochsprung on September 2, 1957 in Bismarck.  They made their home in Minot where together they owned and operated AJH Motors and AJ Automotive.  She was the accountant and business manager for those businesses.  She retired in 1996.  A.J. died on July 16, 2020.  Most recently, Doris had resided at Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility/Brentmoor.

Doris was a member of Christ Lutheran Church - Minot and the Women of the Moose.  She especially enjoyed her family, playing the piano and flower gardening.

Doris is survived by her daughter:  Carrie, granddaughter: Heidi; great-grandchildren:  Galilea, Camila and Natalia; brother: Arnold Semchenko and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Lorraine Alder, Richard and Alvin Semchenko.

A celebration of Doris' life will take place sometime in the future.

She will be placed to rest at Rosehill Memorial Park.

Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
