Donna J. Morris, 64, Deering, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 in a Minot Hospital.

Donna was born June 22, 1954 at King City, California the daughter of Gifford Parlet and Betty Westphal. She was raised in California and Oregon by Ralph and Betty Heitman and was educated at Red Bluff, California, graduating from Red Bluff High School. She furthered her education at Shasta College in Redding, where she received an Associate's Degree in Accounting.

Donna met the love of her life James "Jimbo" Morris in California and they were united in marriage on August 21, 1976 at First Presbyterian Church in Red Bluff, CA. They lived in Louisiana and Germany while he was stationed with the U.S. Army. He retired at Ft Benning, Georgia and they moved to California. In 2006, they moved to the Minot area, where she helped to care for her daughter's medical issues and helped with her granddaughter Melissa. While living locally, she was employed at Walmart and the Dakota Boys Ranch Store.

Donna was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where she was active with the Women's group. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, doing needle point and was a leader with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Programs.

Her loving family includes , husband of 42 years, Jimbo Morris, Deering, children, Tara Serna, Mandan, Henry "Hank" Morris, Minot; granddaughter, Melissa; brothers, Bruce Heitman and Henry Heitman, both of Red Bluff, CA; sister, Marie Heitman, Lake Head, MT; Aunts, Ruth (Bill) Pressey and Peggy (Frank) Weaver; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Danny.

Celebration of Life service : Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Minot.
Visitation : Thursday, November 8 ^th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers memorials to Children's International.
