Donna Ellen Francis, 82, Minot and formerly of Mohall died on Friday, April 22, 2016 in a Minot nursing home.

Donna was born on December 13, 1933 near Westbrook in Cottonwood County of Minnesota to Sigurd and Ellen (Enderson) Olson. She was reared and educated at various places in South Dakota and North Dakota before the family settled in Mohall during the 1940's where she attended school.

Donna married Donald Francis on July 31, 1953 in Mohall. They made their home in Minot where Donna was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker and Don was employed by the Great Northern Railroad. Donald died on July 27, 2013.

Donna was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church and especially enjoyed reading, bird watching, flower gardening and listening to music.

Donna's loving family includes her children: Lori Russell and Kim (Lori) Francis all of Minot and Tami (Brent) Beeter of Bowbells; grandchildren: Jared, Casey, Nolan and Haley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Phyllis Emerson, Gloria Nelson and Spencer Olson and granddaughter: Lisa Branson.

Public Visitation : Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.

Private Family Celebration of the Life of Donna Francis : Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the chapel of the Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.

Interment will be in Section 1 of Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
