Donna Lou Esterby, 84, Minot, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in a Minot nursing home.
Donna was born October 10, 1928 at Minot, the daughter of Arthur and Lydia (Stock) Freeh. She was raised and educated in Minot and attended Minot High School.
Donna was united in marriage to Owen "Art" Esterby on May 17, 1945 at Sidney, Montana. Following their marriage, they had lived in Minot, where they raised their three children, Donna was a dedicated stay-at-home mom.
Donna had a very gracious, heartfelt spirit. The family spent many joyous summers at their Lake Metigoshe residence. Donna was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church choir in Minot. Donna enjoyed knitting, reading and attending all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities. She was their number one fan! Donna also enjoyed the company of her aqua-aerobic friends for many years. Owen died August 20, 2008.
Donna's loving family includes, children, Kip (Wanda) Esterby, Federal Way, WA; Barbara (Ken) Boyeff, Minot and Kirk (ReNae) Esterby, Belton, TX; grandchildren, Alexandria (Eric) Karvala, Barb (Randy) Ivers, Wayne Finneseth, Tasha (Danny) Hanson, Brekka Kramer, Alex Boyeff, Kyle (Sarita) Boyeff, Madison, Callie & Maxwell Esterby; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Owen and Oakdin Hanson, Haley & Emma Kramer, Tyler and Trevor Finneseth, Jesse and Rayme Ivers, Giada Boyeff, Reese and Vaughn Karvala; sister, Betty (Owen) Lansverk, Minot: along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen and granddaughter Debbie Finneseth Obregon.
Donna was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend. She will live on in the memories of those who loved her.
Celebration of Life service
: Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Minot.
Interment:
Veterans section of Rosehill Memorial Park, later in the Summer.
Visitation:
At the request of the family, there will not be any reviewal, however friends may sign a memorial register book on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church, the Minot Public School Foundation or an organization of the donor's choice.
