Donald Hagen, 89, Minot, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in a Minot hospital.
Donald Keith Hagen was born on January 4 , 1932 in Two Harbors, Minnesota. His parents were Edwin and Cora (Havnen) Hagen. He attended school in Two Harbors, then earned a GED in the Air Force. Donald played in the USAF Band in Washington DC for two years, then went to Lowry AFB for training in the field of Nuclear Weapons. While he was stationed at Lowry AFB, he met and married Joan Mack in Lyons, Colorado on October 29, 1955. As Donald served in the Air Force, they lived in many states including Alaska. The family also lived in Germany. Donald retired in July of 1973 and they made their home in Minot, ND. He worked for Lowe's Printing as a Pressman for 24 years.
Don was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Eagles and American Legion all in Minot.
Don is survived by his wife Joan; children: Gary (Mary) of Englewood, CO, Mark of Denver, CO and Barbara (Mike) Carroll of Huntersville, NC. granddaughters: Heather Carroll (Jonathan Holloway) of Raleigh, NC and Rachel Outlaw (Jonathan) of Denver, NC. Lauren and Nicole Hagen of Englewood, CO; great-granddaughters: Emma Grace and Mila Bryn of Denver, NC and several nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Richard, sisters: Audrey, Rosemarie and Joanne and canine companions: Penny, Peppy, Lady, Molly and Patches.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND
Visitation: Friday, March 26, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Congregational United Church of Christ or the Trinity Cancer Center.
