Donald Eugene Larson, 89, Minot, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in a Minot Healthcare Center.

Donald was born May 8, 1931 in Afton Township of Ward County, North Dakota the son of Walter and Margureite (Schellenbaum) Larson. He was raised on the farm in Afton Township and graduated from Minot High School in 1948. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict from February of 1952-February of 1954.

Don returned to North Dakota after his service and was employed at Farmer's Union as a freight hauler. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Galamaga on March 16, 1957 at Mandan. They made their home in Minot, where he continued with Farmer's Union (later Cenex Transportation). He was transferred with the company to the Williston Division for several years until returning to Minot and retiring in 1993.

Don and Marjorie continued to make Minot their home during their retirement years. She died September 5, 2013.

Don was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. The local Teamster's Union, VFW Post #753, American Legion Post #26 and former member of the Minot Elks Lodge. He enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the years.

Don's loving family includes , daughter, Colette (Al) Benson, Minot; daughter in law, Cindy Larson, Cross Lake, MN; son in laws, Dennis Underside, Illinois, Norm Smith, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Casey Sheehan, Dusty Sheehan, Melissa (Matt) Cousino, Bryan (Diane) Smith, Brandt (Phyllis) Smith, Brandy (Jeff) Daukas, Jodie Lafleur & Jackie McAllister; great grandchildren, Cooper & Kellan, Tana & Katy, Evan, Kirsten, Luke & Ethan, and Eric; sisters, Barbara (William) Jenson, Minot & Luella Conine of Georgia; brother, George "Arnie"(Yvonne) Larson, California; along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Don was preceded in death by: his parents; beloved wife of 56 years, Marjorie; son, Donald Jr., step-children, Shirley Smith, Jennifer McAllister & Carol Underside; grandchildren, Tina Ruda, Johnny Eckhoff & Anne Graham; along with his siblings, Russell Larson, David Larson, Phyllis Bertsch & Olive Hill.

Celebration of Life service: Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. Facial coverings are required to attend.

Interment: Veterans Section of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot with honors.
Visitation: Sunday, March 7 th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
