Donald Graham Douglas , 77, 1905 6th St. N.W. Minot, died on Sunday in a Minot hospital.
He was born on November 28, 1928 in Minot, ND, to William and Lilya (Larson) Douglas. He was raised in Minot, graduated from Minot High School and served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. Donald married Donna J. Johnson in February of 1960 in Minot. They made their home in Minot where he was employed as an engineer by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for more than forty-nine years.
Don was a member of the Minot American Legion Post #26, Christ Lutheran Church and the Rainbow Gardens Association. His hobbies included gardening, reading, travel and lovingly caring for his pet dog and cat, Missy and Sara.
His loving family includes his wife of 46 years Donna; Sons: Chris of Minneapolis and Rick of Minot; Sister: Margaret Lilliman of Seattle, WA and Uncle: Harold Larson of Rugby, ND.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Luncheon
: Tuesday August 1, 2006, at Noon in the Executive Room of the Grand International Inn.
Visitation
: Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
In lieu of plants and flowers memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Humane Society
