Donald "Don" Breiland, 82, St Louis, MO and formerly of Minot, died Wednesday February 26 ^th , 2020 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis.

Don was born in Ryder North Dakota on October 27,1937, the son of Gunder and Mabel (Scholass) Breiland. Don was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1955. He served in the military with the US Army Company A 1 ^st Brigade 35 ^th infantry from 1960 to 1962 and also with the Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1965.

Don later attended Minot State College, where earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting.  Upon graduation, Don moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he was employed by the Farmers Home Administration for 24 years as an accountant. Don retired in 1994 and enjoyed his retirement traveling, playing golf, bowling and socializing with friends.   He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and owned shares in the team.  He and his nephew, Tom had traveled to Green Bay after the Packer Hall of Fame was rededicated.  GO PACK GO!

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Gunder and Mabel, brothers Thore, Gerald, Eugene, and Melvin.

Don is survived by: his sister, Lila Koenigsman (Joseph) and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews including, Laurie Bjertness (Dana), Lisa Straight (Jim), Loni Martin (Kevin), Alphonse Koenigsman, Tom Breiland, Beverly Peterson, Monica Richard, Cheryl Johnson, Sandy Koenigsman, Mark Breiland, Levi Bjertness (Darcy), Lacie Bjertness, Jadin Martin(Laura), Jesika Martin, Chale Straight.

Celebration of life service: will take place on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation :  One hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
