Donald Elray Paulson, loving husband and father of seven children passed away December 17th, 2020 at the age of 85.

Don was born August 25 ^th , 1935 to George and Edith Paulson in Bowdon, North Dakota where he grew up on the family farm.  He graduated Bowdon High School in 1954, and married Lila Marjorie James on August 26 ^th , 1956.  Graduating from North Central Bible College in 1960, he was in pastoral ministry for fifty years, ministering in Montana, Missouri, Florida, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Texas.  Through the years he had an active "coffee ministry" where he developed deep and meaningful relationships with those who often never entered the church doors.

In addition to pastoring, Don did a variety of things to provide for his family.  He owned and operated a lawn service in Florida with his sons and his Dad.  He was a schoolteacher and principal.  His go-to option for cash flow was painting.  He could fix anything from cars to plumbing and everything in between.  He was known for his love for Jesus, love for people, sense of humor, wisdom and work ethic.

Don was preceded in death by his father, George, and his mother, Edith.  He is survived by his wife, Lila, his seven children, Donna (Dan) Tufte Tilus, Hermosa, SD, Jim (LaRinda) Paulson, Trenton, MO, Bob (Sheryll) Paulson, Minot, ND, Linda (Nick) Nargi, Littleton, CO, Roger Paulson, Brenda Paulson and Rhonda (Justin) Bahnsen, Minot, ND, his sister Arla (Del) Pfaff, 35 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on January 2 ^nd at 2pm at Minot First Church, 1805 2 ^nd St SE, Minot, ND 58701.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Gideons International, P.O. Box 933 Minot, ND 58702
