Dolores Stredwick , 78, 560 28th Avenue S.W. Minot, and formerly of Sawyer, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home.

Dolores was born October 25, 1928 at rural Deering, the daughter of August and Iva (Bauch) Grondahl. She was raised and educated in the Deering area and graduated from Minot Model High School in 1947.

She was united in marriage to Allen R. Stredwick at Minot. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their six children until 1969, when they moved to Sawyer.

She was employed as the bookkeeper for Stredwick Lath, Plaster and Accoustical Tile, Inc. until 1982. She sold Watkins Products for many years and had worked for Sears as a sales associate until 2001 when she retired. Allen died October 30, 2004. Dolores had lived in Minot for the past few years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot and the Minot American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, camping, along with raising horses and cattle while the family lived in Sawyer. She especially enjoyed the companionship of her bird, angel.

Her loving family includes : Children: Kathryn (Jim) Becker, Allison, IA, Daryl Stredwick, Paulsbo, WA, Marcia (Pat) Childress, Artesia, N.M., David (Melissa) Stredwick, Grand Prairie, TX, Terry Stredwick, Paulsbo, WA, Shawn (Kristie) Stredwick, Minot; Grandchildren: Coral, Cutter, Shelby, Arley, Allen and Justin; a number of great-Grandchildren; Sister: DeEtte Ferguson, Minot; brothers: Eugene "Bud" (Cheryl) Grondahl, Minot and Myron (Sharon) Grondahl, Bismarck.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Doris and Darlene Welstad and Demaris Pfau and daughter in law: Nadine Stredwick.

Funeral service : Monday, January 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot
Visitation: Sunday from noon - 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
