From a Cage to Paradise
With your shades on and ready to ride, You'd get on your bike and begin the stride.
Chasing an adventure and thriving to live, Even through all the doubts you always had a smile to give.
With the emotions building up and the weight on your shoulders, Your feelings of being lost only grew colder.
Yet you still dreamed of the beaches and warmer weather, You always aloud your spirit and imagination to drift in the wind like a feather.
Your love of being a father kept you pushing through it all. Your strength there made you feel as if you could never fall.
You beat so many odds with even more piling on, These odds weighing on you until every early dawn.
These odds and emotions taunted you relentlessly, Creating walls and barriers in your world endlessly.
You couldn't get around them and they continued to close you in, Like the ocean, those cold feelings only deepened.
You were always in a battle of what was right and what was wrong, Knowing all the right answers but it only becoming harder to remain strong.
You just wanted to be by the water and feel the endless possibilities, You never needed a lot as you liked the simplicity.
As this world around you was only becoming bigger for others, You began to feel smaller as an individual, father and brother.
With a feeling of being lost and trapped in a place in time, You still tried your best to find hope and fully live in your prime.
Though You could hear the waves crashing and pulling you near, You knew at that point that sense of freedom was all you needed to hear.
For others You've always had great passion and great love, But for yourself you were always finding a challenge with rising above.
No longer must you feel trapped and just not enough, Because brother where you are now you don't have to try so hard to remain tough.
You can be yourself without the weight of the baggage you've carried for too long, You can lightly ride in the clouds and bump to the tune of your favorite songs.
Looking down on us all as we try to continue in this world to rise, Only waiting for us all to join you one day in your new paradise.
