Dianne Watland , 76, Minot, formerly of Carpio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in her home with hospice by her side.

Dianne was born February 19, 1946 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Nelfred and Gladys (Thompson) Erickson. She was raised and educated at Carpio and graduated from Carpio High School in 1964.

Dianne was united in marriage to Irwin Solem on August 23, 1964. They made their home at Carpio, where they raised their four children.  They later divorced and Dianne moved to Minot in 1987.

Throughout the years, she was employed at Peterson's Grocery in Carpio and later in Minot at K-Mart and the Starlight Lounge. She was united in marriage to Duane Watland on May 6, 1992 in Minot. They made their home in Minot these past number of years.

Dianne was a former member of Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren along with dancing, bowling, reading, sewing and socializing with family and friends.

Her loving family includes , husband, Duane Watland of Minot; children, Natalie (Robert) Kroll of Puyallup, WA, Toni Solem, Puyallup, WA, Dayne (Dana) Solem, Bismarck and Shayne (Angie) Solem of Gillette, WY; 6 stepchildren, Susan, Kelly, Heather, Michael, Eric and Kristen; five grandchildren to include: Brandon DeCent, Sydney Solem, Kinley Solem, Bentley Solem & Braelyn Solem; sister, Darlene Solem of Loveland, CO.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Ryan and brothers, Wayne and Dean Erickson.

Public Visitation & Gathering: Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Family Service: Sunday, April 10 ^th at 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: First Lutheran Cemetery, Carpio, ND on Sunday at 6:15 p.m.
