Dianne Moen, 68, Fargo and formerly of Minot, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 in a Fargo hospital.

Dianne was born August 30, 1950 in Minot, ND to Norman and Edna Moen. She grew up on the family farm near Simcoe, ND. Dianne received her elementary education in a rural school near Simcoe and graduated from Velva High School in 1968. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and the University of Jamestown, where she graduated with a Degree in Art and Elementary Education.

Dianne taught in schools at Selz and McVille, ND until moving to Minnesota, where she taught in Minneapolis and Moorhead. Due to ill health, Dianne was forced to discontinue her teaching career.

Dianne lived at the Parkview Terrace Apartments in Moorhead for many years and was active in that community. She was also actively involved in Programs at Lakeland Mental Health in Moorhead and had been an active volunteer at Dakota Hospital. Dianne was an accomplished artist in her earlier years. She enjoyed buying and selling gently used clothing and volunteered at several Moorhead consignment shops.

Dianne is survived by her sister Elaine (Terry Ellingson) Morgan, Port Ludlow, WA; nephews Shawn Swilley and Camisha and Najee of Seattle, WA and Shane Swilley and Irina, Walter and Evelyn of Portland, OR along with many cousins.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Neil.

Celebration of Dianne's Life: will be held at 2pm on July 6, 2019 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation will be held on July 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Lakeland Mental Health, Moorhead, Mn or to an organization of the donor's choice.
