Diane Werner Schoenwald , 66, of Fargo, and formerly of the Minot area and Center passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on Thursday, June 23rd 2011, in a Fargo nursing home.

Diane was born on August 17th, 1944 to Wilhelm and Clara (Rueb) Werner in Mandan, North Dakota. She was raised on the family farm just outside of Center, ND with her 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Diane was a loyal, stay at home mom, grandmother, and dairy farmer near Sawyer, ND for many years before moving to Burlington, ND. Recently, she had relocated to Fargo, ND to be closer to her sons and was a resident of Elim Rehab and Care Center.

Diane helped raise 4 strong, and proud boys on the family dairy farm. Lucky, Lance, Troy and Travis. She loved to play cards with her sons and wanted everything for them. In her last couple weeks she was extremely proud of all her sons and proud of the men they had become. Diane will be deeply missed by family and friends, but her memory and love will continue to live forever in our hearts.

Diane is survived by her sons, Lucky (Darla) and Troy (Julia) Schoenwald both of Fargo, ND, Lance Schoenwald of Denver, CO , and Travis (Paula) Schoenwald of Las Vegas, NV; grandsons Timothy and Tristan Schoenwald of Fargo and Tyler Schoenwald of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter Chloe Schoenwald of Las Vegas, NV. 3 sisters: Janice, Linda and Wilma and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Funeral Service : Tuesday, June 28th at 1:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot ND.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation : One hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
