Deloris Burner , 76, Minot, died Monday, April 7, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Deloris was born October 19, 1931 in Noonan, North Dakota, the daughter of Alvin and Gladys (Gunderson) Evenson. Deloris was united in marriage to Eugene J. Burner on October 21, 1949 in Noonan, ND where they resided until moving to Minot in 1977. She loved reading, baking, gardening, but most importantly spending time with her family.

In 2000, she was diagnosed with cancer and her determination remained strong throughout her struggle while she maintained her constant faith in God and never lost her sense of humor or dignity. Deloris was an inspiration to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends who admired the strength and courage she possessed.

Those who shared in her life include: Husband: Eugene; Children: Ronald (Karen) Burner, Lansford, Bruce (Sandy) Burner, Burlington, Darlene (Daryl) Lindsey, Crosby, Gloria Burner, Minot, Beth (Bill) Adams, Clovis, NM, Lisa (Wes) Annable, Dickinson; Brothers: Al, Larry, Gerald, and Duane Evenson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service: Friday, April 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington.
Interment: Friday, at 1:00 p.m., at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation: Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
