Obituary

Delores Ellen Storseth, 74, 417 - 19th St. N.W., Minot, and formerly of Williston, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in a Minot hospital, surrounded by her beloved family, following an arterial brain blockage that occurred on January 7, 2007.

Delores (O'Neill) Storseth was born in Williston, ND on October 22, 1932 to Joseph R. and Mildred (Bergh) O'Neill where she attended Williston schools. She was working at the City Laundry with her mom in 1949 when she met Casper Storseth on Williston's Band Day, which later led to their marriage in Plentywood, MT on April 28, 1950. They lived on the Storseth farm until November, 1950 and then moved to Williston where Casper began employment with the Great Northern Railroad in January of 1951. While living in Williston, their two daughters, Diane and Bev, were born at Williston's Mercy Hospital. The Storseth family then moved to Minot, ND in November of 1957 and Cap continued with the railroad. They purchased their current home in February of 1960. While Casper worked on the railroad, Delores was busy being a hard-working housewife and mom. Her utmost passion in life was her family and her home. The absolute joy of her life was her great-grandson Brock. Her cooking, cleaning, laundry and ironing were done to perfection and with lots of love.

She loved her many walks and bike rides on her 50 year old Montgomery Ward Hawthorne bike, which she enjoyed riding regularly. She also enjoyed embroidering, baking, and working side-by-side with Cap, doing seasonal yard work. Delores and Casper belonged to the Wellness Center/YMCA since 1990 where she thoroughly enjoyed exercising and gathering with friends 4-5 times weekly. Delores was a long-time and active member of Christ Lutheran Church. Annually and since its inception, Delores and Cap would volunteer for the church activities associated with Hostfest. Their specialty was making 'klub.' Her love, support, generosity and kindness to her husband and her entire family will be greatly missed by all.

Delores' loving family includes her husband of 56 years, Casper; daughter, Diane Ness of Minot; son-in-law, Verlin Higgins of Minot; grandchildren, Keri Ness of Fort Worth, TX and Derik Ness of Minot; great-grandson, Brock Parker; step-grandchildren: David, Alan and Janet Higgins; step-great-grandchildren: Jennifer Francis, Jodi, Jessalyn, Jared, Cheyenne and Sierra Higgins; step-great-grandchild, Karter Francis, nephews Kevin and Jim O'Neill of WA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Beverly Higgins and brother Raymond O'Neill.
