Delores Selfors, 84, Minot, died Sunday, April 07, 2019, in a Minot hospital.
Delores Joan Selfors was born on February 1, 1935 to Norman and Grace (Gregorson) Walker in Minot, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in her faith in Christ. She was educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1953. Delores worked for American State Bank as a bookkeeper. She married Rodney Selfors on June 17, 1956 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. She began working for J.C. Penney's in 1968 from which she retired in 1992.
She enjoyed daily 4 o'clock coffee time with family and friends as well as meeting with friends at the mall for coffee and conversation. Rodney and Delores were square dancers for many years performing in many towns in the area. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family at various camp sites in North Dakota, especially at Lake Metigoshe.
Delores was involved in the church women's Miriam circle as well as various activities at Bethany Lutheran Church. Delores also represented the Church by volunteering at the church booth at the State Fair and the Norsk Hostfest. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their special school activities, birthdays and holidays, as well as cherished the periodic visits with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed holiday celebrations with family. Jabez and Chica were her favorite furry buddies.
Delores is survived by: her husband of 62 years, and 3 children: Ronda (David) Suelzle of Fargo, ND; Barbara Selfors of West Allis, WI; and David Selfors of Mandan, ND; 3 grandchildren: Michael (Beth) Suelzle of Niagara, ND; Daniel (Mary) Suelzle of Grand Forks, ND; and Christopher Selfors of West Allis, WI; 7 great-grandchildren: Joshua, Eliora, Sophia, Norah, Ephraim, Miriam and Adelaide Suelzle; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Robert and Kenneth Walker.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
