Delores Helen Fred, 76, Minot and formerly of Barton died on Monday, November 26, 2012 in a Minot hospital.
Delores was born on November 22, 1936 in Tunbridge to Daniel and Hannah (Shjerve) Dahl. She was reared on a farm near Barton and attended rural school in that area. Delores married Leonard Bryntesen in May of 1956. They made their home in Rugby until the family moved to Minot in 1959. Delores was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker and served as a foster parent to many children until Leonard's death in 1982. Following his death she was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Trinity Nursing Home from 1982 until 1998. Delores married Clarence Fred in August of 1993. They had continued to make their home in Minot.
Delores was a former member of Grace Baptist Church and most recently had attended First Assembly of God and Our Redeemer's Church all in Minot. She especially enjoyed gardening, reading and ceramics.
Delores' loving family includes her husband of 19 years Clarence Fred of Minot; children: Lynn (Carol) Bryntesen of Bismarck, Lee (Mary) Bryntesen of Arden Hills MN and Nancy Striefel of Sacramento CA; stepchildren: Craig (Rita) Fred of Eckman, ND, Casey (Suzanne) Fred of Garrison, ND, Brenda (Frank) Dunai of Allen, Texas and Becky (Mark) Becker Jarziak of Columbus, GA; grandchildren: Parker Bryntesen, Andrew (Kelli) Striefel, Zac (Amanda) Striefel and Nicole (Colin) Williams; sister: Ruth (Dennis) Romfo of Rugby and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, grandson: Eric Bryntesen, stepson: Duane Fred and stepgrandson, Keegan Fred.

: Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Redeemer's Church - Minot.
Graveside Service
: Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the East Barton Cemetery near Barton ND.
Visitation
: Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
