Debra Kay Lansverk-Graves, 54, 225 18th Ave. SE #2, Minot, died Saturday, August 26, 2006, in her home.

Debra Kay Lansverk was born August 26, 1952, in Minot, ND, to Owen and Betty (Freeh) Lansverk. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1970. Following graduation she worked a various places in Minot, including Lowe's Garden Center and Goodwill Industries. Debra was once married to Joe Schmalz in 1974. At the age of 36, she went to college at Minot State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, graduating with honors. Debra was once married to Charles Graves in 1980. In 1992, she gained employment with St. Joseph's Hospital in the Chemical Dependency Unit as an addiction counselor for eleven years.

Debra attended the Assembly of God and Shiloh Christian Fellowship Church of Minot. She was active in her education and was very involved in her occupation as a counselor. She took great care in helping people and was always there to give a helping hand. Debra was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who shared in her life.

She is survived by: Sons: Joe (Kim) Schmalz and Casey Graves, both of Minot; Grandchildren: Jillian and Madeline Schmalz; Parents: Owen and Betty Lansverk, Minot; Sister: Amy Lansverk (Michael Odegard), Minot; Brother: Ronald (Dana) Lansverk, White Bear Lake, MN; Niece: Eryn Lansverk; Nephews: Jameson and Justin Brandt; and many cousins.

Debra was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral: Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church of Minot;
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot;
Visitation: Tuesday, August 29, 2006, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot.
Memorials: Memorials are preferred to Goodwill Industries, 1405 South Broadway, Minot, ND 58701 or to an organization of the donor's choice.
