Debra Rae "Debbie" Wold, 62, rural Minot, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born May 4, 1954 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Hanson) Zietlow. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1972. During her younger years she was employed at Ace Hardware and Scheels in Minot.
Debbie was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Eldon Wold on October 11, 1974 in Minot. They made their home and raised their children southwest of Minot. She assisted with the operation of the family farmstead in Torning Township from 1984-2005. During that time she was also employed at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch as an office clerk from 1987 until June of this year.
Debbie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. She was active with the South Prairie PTA and a local craft club.
She enjoyed camping, gardening, reading, bowling, fishing, water skiing and traveling with family and friends.
Debbie loved her boys and most importantly she loved being a grandma!
Her loving family includes, beloved husband of forty-one years, Eldon; children, Jayden (Heather) Wold, grandson Jacksen, Minot and Brian Wold, granddaughter Rayanne, Minot; mother, Marjorie Zietlow, Minot; sisters, Dodie (Curt) Hagel, Omaha, NE and Darcie (Joe) Haider, Minot; brother, David (Sue) Zietlow, Minot; brother-in-law Keith (Pam) Wold, Bottineau, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Zietlow; brother-in-law, Bruce Wold.
Celebration of Life Service: Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot
Visitation: Thursday from 3:00 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers or plants the family prefers memorials to Zion Lutheran Church or Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch, both of Minot.
