Debbie J. Strand, 55, Minot, died Monday, November 28, 2011 in her home.

Debbie was born March 15, 1956, in Minot, ND to Berton and Jeanette (Watland) Eidahl. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1974.

She was once united in marriage to Bartel Strand. This union was blessed with three children, Brock, Heather and Spencer. Debbie was a life- long resident of Minot, maintaining employment over the years at Bell School, Edgewood Vista, Trinity Hospital and Miracle Mart. She retired in 2000.

Debbie is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, her dog, Hallie and spending time with friends.

Debbie is survived by her children, Brock Strand and Spencer Strand, both of Denver, CO, and Heather (Kenneth) Myers, Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Kip and Kade Myers; sister, Sharon (Dale) Price, Minot, ND and brother, Galen (Connie) Eidahl of Minot.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and childhood caretaker and friend, Mayme Mejie.

Funeral service : Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice devoted to the research and treating of multiple sclerosis.
