Dean Duane Hohmann, 57, Colorado Springs, CO and formerly of Minot died on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in a Colorado Springs hospital.

Dean was born on October 10, 1951 in Minot to Sid and Jeanne (Rodgers) Hohmann. He was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1969. He attended Minot State University prior to his entry into the U.S. Navy on February 24, 1970. He was a member of the Blue Jacket Choir of the Navy prior to receiving his medical discharge due to diabetes on August 1, 1974. He returned to Minot and reentered Minot State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Dean was once married to Doreen Polsfut of Max and Cheryl Arata.

Dean resided in Colorado Springs, CO and was employed there as a U.S. Postal Service postal clerk at the U.S. Air Force Academy for twenty-one years.

Dean enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, camping and traveling.

Dean's loving family includes his mother Jeanne Hohmann, Minot; twin-brother: Dale Hohmann, Colorado Springs, CO; sister-in-law: Kathy Hohmann, Grand Forks, nieces: Nicole Anthony, Minneapolis, MN; Ali Hohmann, Grand Forks, Tanya Simonson, Bismarck, Stacy Shomento, Bozeman, MT and Stephanie Hurd, Grand Forks.

Dean was preceded in death by his father Sid Hohmann and brothers: Ken and Doug Hohmann and an infant brother: Donald Hohmann.

Funeral Service: Monday, October 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot following a luncheon and fellowship.
Visitation: Sunday from noon - 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Second Story or First Lutheran Church - Minot.
