Dean Duane Buechler, 47, Mandan, formerly of the Sawyer area, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at his home.
Dean was born April 11, 1962 at Minot, the son of Ruben and Arlene (Kassner) Buechler. He was raised on the family farm south of Sawyer and graduated from Sawyer High School. He attended the University of North Dakota and East Grand Forks Technical College. Dean was once married to Nancy Wade. He had served with the North Dakota National Guard Unit until he received a medical discharge
Dean married Melissa Ellis on December 17, 2001 at Indianapolis. They moved to Mandan in 2003. Throughout the years, Dean was employed as Manager of Dakota Feed Store in Minot, drove semi-trailer for Altendorf Trucking, worked in Indianapolis as a driver for Sysco Foods and most recently did Trucking for Missouri Basin Oil Company of Belfield, ND.
Dean was currently a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mandan and formerly of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sawyer. He enjoyed driving his ATV's, hunting and spending time with his family.
His loving family includes : wife, Melissa, children: Brittany and Sarah Buechler, Mandan, Michael Buechler, Jamestown, step-son, Anthony, Mandan, parents, Ruben and Arlene Buechler, Sawyer, brother, Mark (Phyllis) Buechler, Sawyer, sisters, Connie (Wade) Guttormson, Sawyer, Peggy (Mark) Hilson, Minot; mother-in-law, Twila (Jeff) Haugstad, Evanston, WY.
Dean was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa in 1998.
Funeral service
: Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sawyer.
Visitation:
Wednesday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
