David Noel Dahlen, 52, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 9, 2017 at a care center in Minot, ND.

He was born December 9, 1965 in Dickinson, ND. He was the son of John and Anna Marie Dahlen of Halliday, ND. David attended school in Dickinson, ND and Fessenden, ND. After graduation he moved to Minot and lived with his sister\'s family for a while and was employed at Minot Vocational Workshop.

He later lived at Minot group home, Kalix, and worked at Minot Airbase for several years where he did janitorial work, until the time his health began to fail.

David loved life to its fullest. He especially loved going to work every day. Vacation time at home on the farm with his family was a highlight, but he was always ready to return back to his group home family and work. David also loved going to camp at Lake Metigoshe. David\'s favorite TV show were Dukes of Hazard and Walker Texas Ranger. He enjoyed listening to country music, especially Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson.

He was a very generously loving person, always giving hugs. And he loved to entertain everyone in his own special way.

He is survived by his mother, Anna Marie Dahlen, Mandan, ND; two sisters Karen (Dave) Hook, Mandan, ND and Susan (Dave) vanGorkom, Minot, ND, and two brothers Kevin (Gwen) Dahlen, Beach, ND and Tim Dahlen, Halliday, ND. Also survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

David was preceded in death by his father John Dahlen and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16 at 10:00 am (CDT) at Trinity Nursing Home Chapel in Minot, ND with Luther Hanson officiating.
