Daveda Annie Jensen, 80, Minot, died Monday, November 25, 2013 in a Minot Hospital.

Daveda was born October 12, 1933 at Bottineau, North Dakota the daughter of Albert and Martha (Kitzman) Brandt. She was raised and educated at Willow City, graduating from Willow City High School in 1951. She attended Minot State College for one year and was employed at Dr. Baird Dental Office for a year.

Daveda was united in marriage to Jack Jensen on December 27, 1954 at Willow City. They made their home in Bottineau for a year, at Des Lacs for a year and then at Max for two years, prior to their settling in Minot, so that Jack could finish his education at Minot State College. After completion of his school, they moved to Max, where he taught and coached at Max high school for three years.

They moved back to Minot in 1964, where along with raising their three children, Daveda was employed at Minot Drug. They moved to Turtle Lake for two years and then to Mercer for four years, where they owned and operated Jack's Place. They returned to Minot in 1980, where Daveda was employed at Gordon's Holiday Spot from 1981-1991, when ill health forced her to retire. Jack died January 9, 2007.

Daveda was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot, the Minot Eagles Auxilary and American Legion Auxilary. She also served as a 4-H leader, enjoyed camping, watching professional bull riding on the television, along with spending time with her grandchildren.

Her loving family includes , children, Kevin (Cathy) Jensen, Mandan, Debra (Jim) Kraft, Turtle Lake, ND, Mitch (Gail Ogden) Jensen, Minot; grandchildren to include, Chad Kraft (Beckie Daughters), Turtle Lake, Reid (Jacque) Kraft, Sugar City, ID, Eric (Amanda) Jensen of Mandan, Tyler Jensen, Mandan, Conlan (Xochitl Horner) Jensen, Mandan, Tracy Elliott, Warner Robbins, GA, Heidi (Clint) Marshall, Washburn; great-grandchildren, Abbigail & Issabelle Elliott, Leah & Alex Jensen, Griffin & Iyla Kraft, Corbin Marshall and Estelle Daveda Jensen ; sister, Genevieve Halls, Fargo, ND and sisters in law, Wanda Brandt, and LaVonne Jensen, both of Minot.

Daveda was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years, Jack and a brother, Melvin Brandt.

Funeral service: Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot
Interment: ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
Visitation: Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
