Darvin LeRoy Hansen, 76, Minot, formerly of Kenmare, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Darvin was born May 12, 1941 in Kenmare, North Dakota the son of George and Jessie (Mortensen) Hansen. He was raised in Kenmare until he was 15 years old and the family moved to Minot. He graduated from Minot High School in 1960. Darvin became employed with the Great Northern Railroad in track maintenance, working for the company which became Burlington Northern for more than 26 years.

Darvin retired in 1992 and continued to make his home in Minot throughout the years. He had lived at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living Center after his home was flooded in 2011 and most recently at Trinity Homes.

Darvin was a member of First Baptist Church, Minot, the Minot Moose Lodge and Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include, brother, Dennis (Linda) Hansen, Havre, MT; step-mother, Bernice Hansen, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Duane, and twin brothers, Ronald and Donald.

Funeral service : Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Kenmare, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
