Darryl Keith Hickman, Minot ND, formerly from Columbus, ND passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022, with his wife of 46 years by his side.

Darryl was born January 8, 1954, in Crosby, ND to Jerome and Delores (Tveter) Hickman.  He attended and graduated from Columbus High School in 1972 and Minot State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education with a concentration in science.  Darryl loved teaching, gaining respect from his students and fellow teachers.

He was united in marriage to Laurie Ringwall on April 3, 1976. They made their home in Minot, ND.

Darryl is survived by his wife, Laurie, children, Heather Azzi, Benjamin (Nikki) Hickman, grandchildren, Dylan, Kole, Lilly and Eliza, Service dog Ozzy, brothers, Thomas (Jan), Jeffrey (Cathy), sister Pam (David) Johnson, sister-in-law Connie Hickman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Perry Hickman.

Teach your children kindness and compassion. Give big hugs, sing and play music loudly, plant a tree, pick up your garbage and be kind to the Earth!

Visitation: Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church – Columbus, ND.

Inurnment at the Columbus Cemetery with fellowship to follow at the Columbus Golf Course.
