Darlene Eloise Levchenko, 84, longtime Minot resident, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 in a Minot Healthcare Center.
Darlene was born January 31, 1935 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Paul and Lillian (Lundy) Erdman. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1953. Darlene was once married to LaVern Levchenko of Minot. From this union, three daughters were born.
During her younger years, she was employed by Saunders Drug and Lee's Photo Finishing. She moved to Spokane, Washington, where she was employed by Paramount Photo Finishing for 14 years before moving to California in 1969. She lived there for 9 years, until returning to Minot in 1978. She had been employed locally by M&S Concessions for several years until retiring in 1988.
Darlene was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot, where she was active with the Quilting Circle and served as the church's photographer of special events. She was also a member of the Magic City Singles group.
Her hobbies and interests included quilting and playing card games.
Darlene is survived by her children : Vickie (Dave) Jeffery Cape Coral, FL; Connie (Jeff) Johnson, Colfax, CA and Laurie Levchenko, Modesto, CA; 6 grandchildren to include: David Jeffery Jr., Jeremy Jeffery, Casey Jeffery, Jamie Johnson, Jennifer Johnson and John (Allie) Johnson; 4 great grandchildren to include: Donovan, Alyssa, Lillianna & Corbain; brother, Willard (Marlene) Erdman, Minot; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Bill, who helped her with many of her daily needs.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ethel Olafson and her husband, Art; brother, Harold and his wife, Bernice Erdman.

Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Monday, April 8

from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to St Paul's Lutheran Church.
