Darlene Harr , 54, Minot, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, in a Minot hospital.

Darlene was born on April 15, 1952 to Oliver and Vida (Yonaka) Harr in Minot. She lived with her parents and also with her step-mother for several years prior to entering a group home in Tioga, North Dakota in 1993. She has resided at a group home in Minot, since 1994, where she has made many friends.

Darlene was active in work programs at the Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop and was known for her honesty. She enjoyed Disney movies, bowling, coloring, visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her step-mother Erna Harr of Minot; brother, Darrell Harr of Denver, CO; half-brother; Elroy (Donna) Balerud of Minot; niece Katrina Harr and nephew, Lee James Balerud.

She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Dorothy Balerud.

Funeral service: Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
There will be no reviewal, however family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Wednesday from noon - 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
